Taking care of blonde hair requires a bit of extra love. Here’s my top tips for keeping those blonde locks looking their best:

1. Your hair needs an even amount of protein and moisture. Hydrate using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to keep your hair hydrated and use strengthening repair shampoo and conditioner to prevent breakage.

2. Heat Protection Always use a heat protectant spray before styling to avoid damage from heat tools.

5. Regular Trims Get regular trims to keep split ends at bay and maintain healthy hair.

6. Sun Protection Protect your hair from UV rays by wearing a hat or using a UV-protectant spray.

7. Deep Conditioning Treat your hair to a deep conditioning mask once a week to keep it soft and shiny.

Sometimes with hair colour it’s not just about going lighter or darker, we wanted to balance it out, and what I mean by this is making the ends look like the top and the top look like the ends and also blend some greys or some wisdom sparkles as I like to call them.

It’s all about understanding the unique hair texture, natural colour, and desired outcome of each client.

I definitely would not say I was a vivid specialist as it’s not my usual colour work but I’m bloody proud of my 5 hours of work today.

It’s so important to get out of your comfort zone as a hairdresser and more importantly it’s wonderful when you have an incredible client that gives you free reign to create a bespoke colour.

My client called me an artist and today I actually felt like one 🎨🎨🎨
