*All new clients require to pay a 30% deposit at the time of booking. This is will be deducted from your final bill.

We pride ourselves on giving you the highest standards of hairdressing whilst delivering the best customer service. The salon is set in the picturesque Portslade Old Village bringing a friendly, professional and modern salon to the outskirts of Brighton.
Meet the Stylists
At Outshine Hairdressing we have a passionate and highly skilled selection of freelance stylists. With over 50 years hairdressing experience between them, the Outshine stylists are able to give you the best salon experience whilst offering a high level of quality services such as colouring knowledge, cutting and restyling expertise, hair extensions, barbering, bridal/prom hair and much more.
COVID 19 – Safety in the salon
We have put in place extra health and safety precautions to protect everyone in the salon.
All stylists have completed the COVID-19 Barbicide® course and will be wearing all the necessary PPE including visors, face masks/goggles and aprons to prevent the spread of Covid-19. As per government guidelines, from the 8th AUGUST 2020 all clients over the age of 11 MUST wear a face mask/covering, however we understand if you have asthma or other respiratory problems this may not be possible. We are limiting the number of people in the salon, please do not arrive earlier than your appointment. If arriving early is unavoidable, there is a lovely coffee shop across the road if you wish to get yourself a drink before your appointment.
Please remember that we text and email you the day before your appointment as a reminder. If you do not receive a text/email but you are sure you have an appointment, please call us to check. If you are a regular client and we do not have your email address and would like us to have it, please let us know.
When arriving for your appointment, please do not enter the salon uninvited. We have placed a red barrier across the door, if this is pulled across the door, please do not enter. Someone will greet you promptly.
Once entering the salon, you will be asked to wash your hands in the bathroom before you are seated at the section. The section would have been thoroughly sterilized before your arrival and you will be socially distanced from others.
As the sections need to be cleaned and sanitised after each client and stylist having to change their PPE regularly, they may over run. Hand sanitisers are dotted around the salon for your use, please take advantage.
Dotted around the salon are posters with QR Codes. This is the government’s track & trace app that launched on the 24th September. If you have downloaded the NHS track & trace app, you can scan the QR code which is unique to Outshine Hairdressing to check you in to the salon.
We kindly ask you to come to your appointment alone, however we know that this isn’t always possible, please let us know if you need to bring someone else, i.e. baby, carer etc and to bring as little as possible.
We have plastic baskets by the sections for your belongings including coats. The baskets are sanitised after every use, ready for the next client’s belongings.
We are now able to offer refreshments, we have a limited menu now to Tea, Coffee, Cappuccino, Latte and Water. All drinks will be served in a disposable cup, however, please feel free to bring your own drink if you wish. Please take any disposable cups or rubbish with you. We cannot offer you magazines but feel free to bring your own.
We ideally prefer you to pay by card, however if you need to pay by cash, please ensure that you have the exact money or as near to as possible. We are holding as little money in the till as possible.
